The beach of Isola Bella in Taormina consists of rough sand with tiny stones. You will not find a fine, white sandy beach here. This beach is very beautiful, typical to that of Italy but the Lidos that furnish the beach charge an entrance fee.

The Lidos on Isola Bella are very well appointed and have sun lounging chairs, umbrellas, showers, dressing rooms, bars and restaurants. The entrance fee costs about 10 euros. Due to Isola Bella's nature conservatory, unfortunately water sports like pedal boating are not allowed.

From Isola Bella's beach, a small boat excursion can be taken to Grotta Azzurra and venture to the coastal area of Taormina. Also located on Isola Bella is the famous diving school, the Nike Diving Center. The water quality is very good in the well protected bay of Isola Bella. During the summer, this beach has a large amount of visitors and can be very full.

The small, free beach sections are in hot demand by the international public. To have a good spot on the beach, you most go as early as possible. One reaches the beach of Isola Bella in Taormina best by the Taormina cable car - Mazzaró. The Taormina cable car- Mazzaró runs in frequencies of 15 minutes and is in operation at least until midnight.

Parking places during the high season are usually hard to find in Isola Bella.
